NFL rookie saves three children, mother, and a dog
You really can’t make this stuff up. Just like on your television a pro football player is also a modern day hero.
Meet Jonathan Willard, coming out of Clemson he went undrafted in the 2013 NFL Draft, but has now been signed by the Tennessee Titans. Willard was traveling from South Carolina so he could attend training camp in Tennessee until he spotted a burning car on the way. Inside the car was a woman, three children, and a dog.
Here is Willard’s account of the story;
When she pulled over, the car was really on fire at that point. The driver, she acted like she was in some kind of daze or something. She told me that she didn’t stop because she didn’t think it was her car that was on fire. Another guy stopped, and we managed to get the kids and the dog out and get them to safety, and then I finally got the woman out.
I was just glad that we got the kids and all of them out of the car. I was thinking that I was just doing what everybody else would do, but there were cars just going past us and no one else was stopping, so I don’t know if that is what would happen or not.
Thank god that Willard was in the right place at the right. During the summer months we have seen NFL players get arrested for an array of things so seeing something positive like this is great for the NFL.
