Four in nine days
Titus Young has been hit with another charge of burglary stemming from a May 4th incident where he stole a bottle of water and a candy from a Cheveron. This charge plus his three arrests makes it four run ins with the law in nine days. This is a serious fall from grace from a WR who has the talent to be a solid option for any QB in the NFL.
According to his father Richard, Titus suffers from a mental health disorder. His father had forgotten the name of the disorder but said the disorder occurs when a person’s brain is compressed in the front of the skull. Titus’ father also claims this disorder is a result of a concussion that Titus suffered during his rookie season, yet the Lions’ never listed the receiver as having a concussion.
Titus himself has be prescribed Seroquel a drug that is used to treat bipolar disorders and schizophrenia. Unfortunately Titus has not been taking the medicine that has been prescribed for him.
Richard also went on to say this to The Free Press about his son;
“I hope they just forgive Titus because this ain’t none of Titus; it wasn’t none of his fault. I look at my son right now, I don’t see my son. That’s not my son. I know my son.”
Brandon Marshall and Torrey Smith have reached out in support for Titus to get him through this tough time.
Now that this is bigger than just a couple of dumb mistakes hopefully Titus Young can get the help he needs and recover from this so he can go not only back to playing football, but more importantly get his life balanced out.
