For the first time in 15 years, Harlem will host the 2013 Million Youth March on Saturday

In the spirit of its founder, the late revolutionary and youth advocate Dr. Khallid Abdul Muhammad, the Million Youth March will return to Harlem tomorrow after a 15 year hiatus. Organized by Attorney Malik Zulu Shabazz and Minister Hashim Nzinga, this year’s march is a part of the 20th Annual National Black Family Convention that has been taking place from Sept. 5th- 7th in fron of the Harlem State Office Building on 125th Street and 7th Avenue. Shabazz, the New Black Panther Party Chairman, announced the rally as the 15th Anniversary since the last march that was lead Dr. Muhammad, the controversial Nation Of Islam leader who lost his life in 2006.

Recently several key African-American public figures have endorsed the March and convention. Included in this powerful line up are actor Tommy Mikal Ford (Martin), billionaire and real estate mogul Mike Roberts, Jackson, Mississippi Mayor Chokwe Lumumba, National Executive Director of the National Black Conference of Mayors Vanessa Williams, Your Black World founder Dr. Boyce Watkins, Atlanta radio personality DJ Greg Street, Former NBA player Etan Thomas, and television personality Nick Cannon.

Several Hip Hop personalities are scheduled to appear, speak, and perform, including Grandmaster Melle Mel, Kool Herc, Jim Jones, Lord Jamar, Jasiri X, Roxanne Shante, Bun B, and a host of other notable personalities. Any info about the event can be found at:
