This has to be the quickest return from retirement ever…Toni Braxton is returning to music!
The eldest of the Braxton sisters revealed that she and Babyface are working on a duets album.
“I think I’ve made the right decision to get back involved with songwriting and working with Kenny,” she said during the episode. “I can’t be afraid anymore. I have to live life. It’s OK to fail as long as you try, so I’m gonna try,” said Toni on last night’s season finale of the Braxton Family Values.
The duet album is described by Babyface as “guy and girl, Mars vs. Venus.”
The 45-year-old singer was discouraged with the direction the music industry was heading.
“For what I do I have to love it. I have to feel that excitement and it’s gone,” Braxton told theGrio back in February. “I’m just not going to do any albums anymore; maybe touring occasionally here and there because I love performing, but not as much as I did in the past. But no new projects.”
But there is a new project and it will be released in September under Motown.
Stay tuned for updates.
