The Romo era continues
Jerry Jones still believes in Tony Romo and he showed that by opening the bank account today for Romo’s new contract extension. Romo inked his fourth deal with the Dallas franchise today in the form of a 6-year $108 million extension. Romo’s new extension has $3 million more guranteed money than Joe Flacco’s current deal, Romo is guranteed $55 million.
This is going to look like a bad move to everyone because Romo is only remembered for his poor play even though he played out of his mind towards the end of last season. More importantly this signing is a big deal because it makes Romo cap price go down so the Cowboys can now sign more free agents.
Romo is now the highest paid player in Cowboys history.
