troystyles Newcomer And Veteran Trade Grimey Bars In New Collaboration

With a street LP that’s been turning heads and renewed dedication to the hard-hitting beats and rhymes that characterize the Mecca of Hip-Hop, Troy Ave has been making a strong 4th quarter impact on the rap game in 2013. To top it all off, before the year ends he’s promised to deliver White Christmas 2, a sequel to his 2012 holiday-themed mixtape, hosted by DJ Drama.

In the meantime and in-between time, he’s unleashed a new joint featuring Yonkers-bred legend Styles P entitled “Do It”. The track, produced by Marce Reazon, is a bar-fest that houses a number of witty quotables from Troy (“Drake do R&B, that’s how he makes his chips/I did R&B, but mines was rap and bricks”) and SP The Ghost, and forgoes a traditional chorus.

Check out the track below and look out for White Christmas 2 when it hits mixtape outlets on Christmas Eve. You can grab Troy’s New York City: The Album on iTunes here.
