The Ultimate Blackbook Vol. 1 and Tuff City Styles pays homage to Serve, a well-known graffiti artist from New York City. Serve is know for his style of piecing being done on trains back in the early 1980s. When graffiti changed its direction, Serve maintained his art by designing over 40 album covers for various artist such as The 45 King, Ultramagnetic MCs, and the Cold Crush Brothers.
The blackbook features Serve’s best and most compelling material that he has produced in the recent years. It’s basically like looking through someone’s secret stash of throwies and pieces.
If you want to check for the signing release, it will be on Thursday, July 25 on 17 Essex Street.
