ZimmermanTweeter catches attention of thousands to stop Juror B37′s book deal off the George Zimmerman case.

Controversy has steadily developed around the case of George Zimmerman and the untimely death of Trayvon Martin, specifically, the trial juror B37.

Making her first public appearance on Anderson Cooper, Juror B37 expressed her sympathy for Zimmerman claiming to support him and caused an uproar after announcing she signed a book deal attempting to profit from tragedy.

One persistent tweeter [@MoreAndAgain] took it upon herself to stand up for what’s right and get Sharlene Martin, the publisher who initially green-lighted Juror B37′s book deal, to terminate the deal[which never should’ve been made].

She then began a petition that caught the signature of thousands tweeting:

She tweeted at Sharlene demanding she take back the deal, which Sharlene later responded saying:

 

Thank you @MoreAndAgain, you’ve stopped someone trying to profit from a tragedy and showed a light in this time of turmoil.

Below is Juror B37′s response to the her book deal going out the window:

“I realize it was necessary for our jury to be sequestered in order to protest our verdict from unfair outside influence, but that isolation shielded me from the depth of pain that exists among the general public over every aspect of this case. The potential book was always intended to be a respectful observation of the trial from my and my husband’s perspectives solely and it was to be an observation that our ‘system’ of justice can get so complicated that it creates a conflict with our ‘spirit’ of justice.

Now that I am returned to my family and to society in general, I have realized that the best direction for me to go is away from writing any sort of book and return instead to my life as it was before I was called to sit on this jury.”
