Last night at the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn New York, Scion AV held another one of their monthly open mic events with performances by Dinero Ferrera, TY Dolla $ign , and Vic Mensa. Providing the music on the 1′s and 2′s for the entire night was New York DJ, Get Live.
Things would kick off with the self-proclaimed Leader of Cult Rap Deniro Farrar who would bring that high energy in his opening performance to set the tone for the rest of the night.
Next up was Taylor Gang‘s newest signee singer/rapper Ty Dolla Sign who brought along with him two trumpeters to accompany him on stage. Ty would kick things off with his record from the first Beach House mixtape, “Cabana.” TY would then perform the song that brought him his first claim to fame YG‘s “Toot It And Boot It.” The singer/rapper would surprise the crowd of Brooklyn with special appearances by Skeme and GBE‘s own Freddo Santana, who performed his latest single the Kendrick Lamar assisted “Jealous.” TY would close out his set with his current smash single off Beach House 2 “Paranoid.” TY would thank his fans and tell them to look out for his next project to drop very soon.
Capping off a night of great music, Chicago’s very own and Save Money representative Vic Mensa would be in charge of closing out the show. Mensa would bring down the house with his DJ Stefan Ponce on the 1′s and 2′s and producer Cam Rocks playing the keys. The Save Money artist would have the Brooklyn crowd go through many vibes during his time on stage. From the laid back-melodic tracks like “Orange Soda” and “Hollywood LA” to the turn up joint “Yap Yap” Vic would display incredible crowd control proving that he is a star in the making. The Innanetape rapper also performed for those in attendance a brand new song entitled “Rich & Famous” and he revealed that the day before he was in the studio recording with Mobb Deep. Vic Mensa would thank the BK crowd for the love and shout out one more time his mixtape, Innanetape before leaving the stage.
