North Carolina’s achilles heel
P.J. Hairston’s troubles continue today as he has officially been suspended indefinitely by the University of North Carolina basketball team. Hairston’s trouble started on June 5th when he was arrested on a misdemeanor marijuana charge. Hairston’s charges were later dropped, but that plus Sunday’s charges led UNC to their decision.
On Sunday Hairston was charged with speeding and careless and reckless driving. At the time of the citation Hairston was doing 93 mph in a 65 mph zone.
With the ACC competition growing this year the Tar Heels would have loved to have their leading scorer on the court. Hairston who is a more than capable wing player averaged close to 15 ppg last season.
When it comes to a player that has the talent of Hairston you just got to hope they get their act together before they ruin their future.
