Early today Japanense brand Uniqlo has announced it will be collaborating with super producer and musician Pharrell Williams. Not only will Pharrell be collaborating with the brand but will also be the new face of Uniqloi UT campaign, both Pharrell and Uniqlo will launch “i am OTHER” T-shirt collection.
The new lines can be found at Uniqlo starting on April 14, 2014 all around the globe. To celebrate the line, the “Think Other” T-shirt will see a early release on March 21. The early release will only see 500 pieces, at a low price of $19.90. On March 31 Uniqlo will preview the full “i am OTHER” collection. For now the brand and Pharrell have only previewed 2 tees from the collection which can be viewed below.
It’s no surprise Pharrell is the new face of the brand as his good friend and frequent collaborator on Fashion Nigo is now the creative director of Uniqlo. It would make sense for Nigo to bring Pharrell on broad to broaden the brand and steal some thunder from store branded lines like the Gap, H&M and TopMan. Nigo and co will keep things a secret until launch time but the full collection will consist of T-shirts and caps when launch will feature a TV spot which will feature music from Pharrell’s new album “G I R L.”
