Following her sentencing in NJ, Lauryn Hill has been ordered to serve three months in prison for tax evasion.

Lauryn Hill has received her sentencing for failing to pay taxes on about $1 million in earnings between 2005 and 2007. The Grammy award winning artist will serve three months in prison following her hearing. Lauryn faced a maximum of a year in prison for each count. She must also serve an additional three months of home confinement following her term in prison.

Last year, Lauryn Hill pleaded guilty during the case and paid more than $970,000 in an effort to satisfy the state before her sentencing.
