gracelandUSA Network and Entertainment Weekly teamed up to give viewers a sneak peek into the world of “Graceland,” the provocative and edgy new one-hour original drama series on Wednesday night at the iconic Studio 8H at 30 Rockefeller Center, New York City.

The advanced screening included an interactive Q&A with cast members and was moderated by Entertainment Weekly senior writer, Tim Stack. The screening was also simulcast live at 15 cities across North America at AMC theaters in Los Angeles, Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, Houston, Indianapolis, Miami, Minneapolis, Orlando, Philadelphia, Tampa, and Washington D.C.  Attracting nearly 4,000 attendees, viewers were able to interact with the series’ stars and share their thoughts about the premiere through a live Twitter feed under the hash tag #GracelandTV.

Here are a few highlights from the Q&A with the cast after the screening: A viewer from the Boston screening tweeted, “Has working on the show made you cast members more observant or better at reading people?” Aaron Tveit who plays the part of rookie FBI Agent Mike Warren responded by describing a real life situation he had once on a crowded subway where he thought a guy had reached in his pocket for gun.  Tveit’s initial response was to pull out a gun from his pocket in defense, later to realize the guy had nothing in his hands and neither did he.  The audience was laughed as Tveit mimicked the encounter and said he had to stop himself by saying, “No, you are not an FBI agent.”

One viewer ludicrously tweeted, “If a zombie apocalypse were to happen now, which one of your cast members would you like to fight alongside you?”  The consensus answer was to choose Vanessa Ferlito who plays the part of FBI Agent Catherine “Charlie” DeMarco.  A member of the studio audience asked if there were any bloopers on the set. Daniel Sunjata who stars as FBI Agent Paul Briggs said that when Aaron Tveit’s parents came to watch the show once, he couldn’t remember any of his lines and it was hilarious.

Tim Stack asked the cast what was their favorite part of playing undercover agents.  Manny Montana who plays FBI Agent Joe “Johnny” Tuturro responded by saying it’s great to play a character who plays many parts. Daniel Sunjata said the fact that they are actors playing cops who act for a living is a kind of a mind twister. A viewer from the Canada screening tweeted the cast what helps them to get into character most. Brandon Jay McLaren who stars as ICE Agent Dale Jakes responded by saying each cast member has an essence that’s in their character roles as well.
