Jamaica sweeps sprints at World Championships
The legend of Usain Bolt continues to grow with more golds in Moscow this weekend. Once again the Jamaican superstar completed a sweep of the sprint events. On Sunday, Bolt and his Jamaican comrades took the gold in the 4x100m relay.
The USA had a chance to defeat the Jamaicans until a botched handoff gave Usain Bolt an opportunity to win. Bolt capitalized on this window and passed Justin Gatlin en route to gold. Bolt has now claimed gold in the 100m, 200m, and 4x100m relay. With the gold medal today Usain Bolt becomes sole leader in most medals at the World Championships.
By the looks of things Usain Bolt’s dominance will continue for another year as the field has yet to produce a rival for the world’s fastest man.
