Vic Mensa, Savemoney‘s latest member who seems poised to blow up in the near future, is preparing for the release of his debut solo mixtape, Innanetape, due out on the 30th. He has already released a plethora of singles from the project including: “Hollywood LA”, “Yung Net Save Peso”, and “Time is Money”. Yesterday he released yet another track, with a video included–”Lovely Day”.

Illroots and Mensa have been building a solid relationship together, and this video is the latest in a long line of collaborations. “Lovely Day” is a lush, multi-layered vocal track that evokes images of summer, good vibes, or plain relaxation. Once again the lyrical prowess of Mensa is on full display, showcasing why so many people are excited for his new mixtape. In the video, the cast–especially the emcee–seem to all be on some variation of speed. Everyone is bopping around, almost jittery. However, the bright colors and the chill activities that you see everyone partaking in make this a well don accompaniment to the song.
