Wale stopped by the Hot97 AM Show with Peter Rosenberg and Ebro to address his infamous rant on a staff member of Complex magazine. The DC native stated in this very therapeutic interview that nobody is perfect, but that he definitely feels that a lot of media outlets are not appreciating what him and his fans stand for. Wale lets morning listeners know that he’s not in the business for the money, but instead he’s in it for his fans and the art form, unlike some of the artist on the list, who he says “don’t care about the game.”
Wale continues to express his ill feelings towards the publication stating that “its a personal” at this point, and there have been several incidents in the past that have made Wale raise a red flag. The Gifted rapper also shares with Ebro and Peter his theory as to why he believes the Complex publication shows him no love:
“I have other theories, I’m a bit of a conspiracy theorist, a little bit, but I believe me and Cudi’s fallout has something to do with their lack of support.”
Wale makes it aware that he does not want to beg no hipsters to be on any list, but he wants them to appreciate the hard work he puts behind his albums. Regardless of Wale’s beliefs and theories, the rapper knows he put hard work and effort to his most recent album, but his heart tells him that its something deeper with the publication, not because of what he feels, but because of the 5 or 6 rappers that have told them the publication don’t rock with him.
Who could those 5 or 6 rappers be that told Wale the truth behind his rant?
