Unfotunately for fans of the original “Bad”, Tiara Thomas has left the building.
In a very recent interview with Hot 97′s Morning Show collective, Wale let loose with some information about his current legal situation with songstress/guitarist/songwriter/producer Tiara Thomas. Thomas, who helped craft the More About Nothing standout track “The Cloud”, and Wale’s current lead single for his third album The Gifted, “Bad”, was expected to become an official artist under Wale’s Board Of Administration label, but according to Folarin during the interview with Hot 97, she has a new situation that doesn’t involve him. Though the self-proclaimed MMG poetic genius didn’t explicitly state the details of the failed venture, he wished Tiara Thomas luck in her new endeavors, while silently and subtly agreeing with Ebro’s proposition that after helping gain traction from Wale’s campaign over the past three years, Thomas decided to jump ship. Whether or not this is part of the reason Rihanna has replaced Thomas on the official version of The Gifted‘s lead single has yet to be confirmed, but it is rather unfortunate that the possibility of Thomas collaborating with Wale on a third single in the future is rather bleak.
