Well, he was right.

As instantly classic day in hip-hop, June 18th, comes to a close, we prepare ourselves for what will undoubtedly be a crazy week for hip-hop fans. 10 years ago, Kanye West went on a rant–which we later learned would be no rarity for the polarizing superstar–on his dislike of being referred to as merely a producer, and not a force to be reckoned with on the microphone. He screamed at the camera that at some point, with his 2nd or 3rd album if not his first, he would be the number one artist in the country, and we just thought it would be appropriate to show that, well, he was right.
