This past February Brooklyn’s own Kris Kasanova dropped his third mixtape, 24k, starting 2013 off with a bang.
For the visual of one of the deepest songs off the project, “Tomorrow” (which features TDE‘s first lady SZA), he shows us what its like a day in Red Hook.
Though she doesn’t make an appearance in the video, SZA’s vocals give the DJ Dahi produced track a breath of fresh air between the dark verses where Kris reflects on the troubles of growing up where he did.
“Where I am from people are content with their situations which prevents them from dreaming. I feel like the thing that’s more important than money has to be dreams. Every day someone always has their hand out asking for money so I played off of that as a metaphor in the song… “Do you have a dream I can borrow, ’till tomorrow”
