The Nigerian artist, Rilgood, hits us in the mouth with a velvet covered gauntlet on his latest release. It’s a slow burner but filled to the brim with the brutal truth. The intro to his Kingdom project is composed of a montage of a slow motion boxer, typical street activities, and Rilgood moving through it all. Even though he’s trying to set the tone with his music, he doesn’t want you following him step for step.
“Same n*ggas lose it all trying to be like Rilgood/N*gga just be yourself/I swear you’ll be real good…”
The Brooklyn King of Nigeria makes the best of Dot Da Genius’s HeadBanga Muzik Group’s own Woodrow Skillson’s beat by telling you the ins and outs of the game, based on what he’s seen.
Head to his website to find everything Rilgood.
