Whenever you become attached to a project, like I’m sure some of you have with The INNANETAPE (don’t be shy), it’s always dope to see the work and people behind it before it was tweaked and refined. Courtesy of Closed Sessions, we are able to meet two of the main producers-Peter Cottontale and Cam Osteen-behind Vic Mensa’s debut solo project. Together with Vic, they crafted the vision from Vic’s mind into one of the stronger mixtapes of the year. They managed to play off of each other’s creative energies instead of fighting them, which helped each of them work out of their respective comfort zones, for the better.
