Today is a monumental day in music history! King Diddy Combs is launching his new TV network, Revolt. Revolt is said to be a platform for true musicians aspiring to influence and empower the culture.
I think it’s fair to say that we’ve all complained a time or two about music not being on music networks anymore. Diddy was the one to get up and do something about it. Topping the Forbes highest paid Hip-Hop artists list, Diddy still embodies the mantra, “If you want something done, you have to do it yourself.” Why leave the future of the television/music relationship in the hands of networks that have strayed away from the original game plan when you can do something about it right?
Revolt TV will be on both Time Warner Cable and Comcast starting tonight at 8pm. If you’re in the NY area, your TWC channel is 105. Revolt will also stream on its website, Revolt.tv, for the next three days for those who have cable providers who are behind the curve.
In Don Diva issue 44, Diddy talks his truths, tragedies, & triumphs that got him to where he is today. He revisits his hustling intern days all the way to the BOSS moves he’s making now. It’s amazing to see a young black man from Harlem with ambition come this far.
Happy Birthday Revolt TV. The revolution will be televised!
