Real definition of girl power…
Elizabeth Cady Stanton was the mother of seven children. Susan B. Anthony would baby-sit Stanton’s children while Stanton wrote suffrage speeches and petitions that Anthony would deliver.
Susan B Anthony showed a great deal of support to her colleagues during their fight for equal rights. Even though seven children may seem like a lot today, during the women suffrage years it was more common for women to have a big family with more than five children because it was expected of women to take care of house and family while the husbands works all day.
