Father and son chosen at ‘Worst Actors’ at the Golden Raspberry Awards
If there’s one thing Will and Jaden Smith have in common, other than the fact that they share the same DNA, it’s that they both now have been awarded with a Razzie for their performances in the 2013 American sci-fi action adventure film, After Earth.
While 15-year-old Jaden was named the worst actor for his lead role in the film, his pops Will was selected as the worst supporting actor at 2014’s Golden Raspberry Awards that took place in Los Angeles on Saturday.
In a tie with Movie 43, the M. Night Shyamalan-directed After Earth was awarded a total of three Razzies.
Founded in 1980 by copywriter and publicist, John J.B. Wilson, the Golden Raspberry Awards, popularly nicknamed ‘Razzies,’ is an awards ceremony that recognizes Hollywood’s worst films. The annual ceremony is held in Los Angeles just one day before the Academy Awards.
