It’s soon to be a new day, and many to come.
As we spend our days pleading for warmer temperatures and extended daylight in hopes of escaping what has been a brutal winter here in New York City and along the entire Eastern coast, Don Slay has not let the cold nor snow delay his travel plans by any means. The young scholar is still fast on track and set to march across the graduation stage at Morgan State University in a couple of months. And while prepping for the big moment, he’s simultaneously been pushing his music relentlessly, all on his own.
His recent mixtape Big Crowd Small Circle continues to resonate with listeners both of his hometown in Brooklyn and also with those in Baltimore where he attends school. In recent days past he even got a nod of support from Baltimore rapper ELLIS who himself has been cosigned by LOX rhyme veteran Styles P. And even though he appreciates all the attention and support he has gathered thus far in his still premature career, Don Slay knows that he has a ton of work to do. Maybe not so much remaining on the academic side of things, but definitely in regards to his music. The latest offering from the student-rapper is a track called “New Days” which features an energized verse from his younger brother Daze and is produced by TeamGreen. Check out the song here.
