Trevor Ariza is ballin’ this season! In his last five games, he’s hit 61.4 percent of his field goals and 63.9 percent of his 3-pointers. He must have been inspired by Allen Iverson a week and a half ago during his jersey retirement ceremony in Philly—the same night the Wizards were playing the Sixers. Ariza dropped 40 points in Washington’s 122-103 win.
He also hit his first seven 3-pointers and wound up 14-for-23 from the field.
The ninth year vet out of UCLA has played for six teams during his career and has seemed to have found a home in the DMV after bouncing around the league and winning a championship with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2009.
Aside from Michael Jordan, Ariza credits Allen Iverson as one of his biggest basketball influences. Ariza caught up with Source TV and shared his insight on The Answer.
