Wyclef releases some visuals paying tribute to Trayvon Martin.
I doubt this will be the last tribute to Trayvon Martin, (Young Jeezy – It’s A Cold World: Tribute To Trayvon Martin) nor should it be. The untimely and shocking death of Trayvon Martin has fired Wyclef to release visuals to his new track “Justice (If You’re 17)” that portrays a similar scenario to Trayvon’s.
Wyclef makes specific references such as mentioning “he could have been the next president…the next Steve Jobs,” emphasizing the tragic lose of the young man’s future potential.
Wyclef clarifies that this should warn youth to beware of authority stating, “If you’re 17 with a hoodie, watch out for the neighborhood watcher.” He also emphasizes not to raise your arms but to use your mind, learn the laws, and fight with your intelligence.
