What’s going on this week?
Atlanta rapper Young Thug, who’s picked up steam like no other artist through the first two months of 2014, has been arrested.
In a report from Complex Magazine, the young rapper who recently made a few big announcements–in the past month he’s confirmed collaborations with Kanye West and a record deal with Birdman & Lil’ Wayne‘s YMCMB label–was apparently arrested early this morning on charges of “Possession Of A Schedule IV Controlled Substance, Driving Without Seat Belt, Reckless Conduct, Driving In Circular Or Zig-Zag Course ‘Laying Drags’ & Reckless Driving’ in Atlanta.
Thug, who racked up quite a buzz towards the end of last year with his critically acclaimed 1017 Thug album, and the two singles he released following said album, “Stoner” and “Danny Glover”–the latter was co-signed by Drake and Kanye West and remixed by Nicki Minaj–is expected to released his new project, #hiTunes, sometime this year.
More details to come as we’re made aware of them.
