Friday night, TAO launched Memorial Day Weekend with hip hop legend Nas.
Throughout the day, the Queens rapper took over TAO’s Instagram and posted photos leading up to his performance. Nas first dined in the restaurant beside TAO’s iconic 20-foot floating Buddha where he was joined by a group of friends. Afterward, he made his way into the nightclub and was welcomed by the packed crowd as DJ Eric D-Lux announced his arrival. Nas took in the party scene at his VIP table on the dance floor as fans clamored to snap a photo of the music maven. Soon afterward he treated the club to a special performance of hip hop staples including, “You Can Hate Me Now,” “If I Ruled the World,” “Nas is Like,” “It Ain’t Hard to Tell” and “Made you Look.” In between songs he wished the crowd a happy Memorial Day Weekend and stated, “It’s good to be here. I want to thank TAO for bring me out,” as well as reminded the crowd to “live your life to the fullest.” R&B singer Ashanti was also spotted partying with Nas and friends at TAO that night.
Saturday night, Kevin Hart hosted at LAVO Nightclub in celebration of Memorial Day Weekend. The popular comedian signed autographs and posed for photos on the red carpet then made his way into the nightclub with friends including fellow “Think Like A Man 2″ cast members Gabrielle Union, Sanaa Lathan and E! News host Terrence J. At a VIP table in the center of the club, Kevin stood on top of his booth, overlooking the packed crowd and dancing to the sounds of DJ Gusto. Later in the evening, he jumped on the mic to wish party-goers a happy Memorial Day Weekend. Kevin led the party the rest of the night as he rapped along to songs and entertained party-goers.
Across the dance floor, rapper Nas was spotted at a group of VIP tables in the nightclub after dining at LAVO Italian Restaurant. R&B singer and friend Ashanti also joined the party where she was seen taking in the scene and dancing. Nick Sakai, owner of sneaker shop CRSVR, also joined Nas at LAVO to celebrate the new sneaker store that they are opening in Las Vegas. The two were seen touring the construction site over the weekend.
NFL player Chuck Sanders was also spotted partying at a VIP table at LAVO Nightclub. Australian singer SIA enjoyed dinner at TAO Asian Bistro. Joined by a group of friends, she enjoyed signature menu items including the Miso Glazed Chilean Sea Bass. At TAO Nightclub, NFL star Asante Samuel was seen at a VIP table. Originally from Florida, the Atlanta Falcons player and friends enjoyed the party scene and periodically waved Miami flags throughout the night.
